MICHELE ALLEN - Executive Director/Owner/C.E.O.
Michele attended California State University at Los Angeles and earned a Bachelor of Arts in
Education and a Masters in Special Education for Visually Handicapped. She also holds
Teaching Credentials in Physical Education and Orthopedically Handicapped. Michele has
vast experience in the entertainment industry including: Professional Dancer and Baton
Twirler, member of the Screen Actors Guild, Can-Can Dancer at Knott's Berry Farm Calico Saloon,
and a featured Baton Twirler for the Los Angeles Rams. She has appeared in feature films
including: The Music Man, Mary Poppins, Son of Flubber and Pocket
Full of Miracles. She appeared as a featured Baton Twirler in an International
Gillette television commercial. She was also the feature film Dance and Drum Leader
Instructor for Jack Lemmons and Peter Falk, and the Cheerleading Instructor for Jerry Lewis in
Disorderly Orderly. Michele's teaching experience is even more extensive, including:
Advisor and Coach at Claremont High School for over twenty years where she instructed Dance,
Colorguard, Majorettes, I.D. Banner, Rifle, Cheer, Song, and Mascot Teams. She choreographed
and produced entertainment for the Beverly Hills Diamond Jubilee, U.S.C. Band Days,
Statue of Liberty Celebration, and several Olympic Festivals. She also is a professional
judge for Dance, Colorguard, Tall Flag, Majorette, Banner, and Rifle. Michele is a member of
and adjudicator for the California Association of Dance and Drill Team Directors, is on the
staff of judges for the World of Pageantry's Hawaii Invitational, and is on the judging staff
for the Miss Dance/Drill Team California and Miss Dance/Drill Team U.S.A. |
ROBERTA R. SCHULLER - V.P. of Operations
Roberta earned a BS in Dental Hygiene from the University of Southern California 1988.
Experience in ballet, jazz, tap, flags, rifles, and baton twirling, she twirled as a mascot
for the Los Angeles Rams. Camp Instructor for Hibbard's and for United Spirit
Association. She participated in the 1984 Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies,
the 1986 Statue of Liberty Opening Ceremonies and performed in front of President Ronald
Reagan on Liberty Island. Adjudicator and Tabulator for the Hawaii Invitational Music
Festival. She has been Tall Flag/Colorguard/Majorette Instructor for Claremont HS,
Wilson HS, Hacienda Heights, and Assistant Colorguard Instructor for the USC Silk line.
She taught baton twirling on the set of "Peggy Sue Gets Married" and was the Head Instructor
for the Anaheim Bullfrog Hockey team mascots (polywogs). Roberta has been an Adjudicator
for the Southern California Judges Association since 1988, judging Parades, Field Shows,
Indoor competitions, Dance/Drill Teams, Tall Flag/Colorguards, and Majorettes. |
JIMMY LOCUST - New York City, NY
An extraordinary choreographer and an SSC veteran, Jimmy has been labeled one of the world's
hottest choreographers in the business today. His energy and creativity will amaze
you. Master of body motion, Jimmy Locust, knows how to extract focus, from himself and
anyone he works with. As choreographer for Walt Disney's newest addition the
"Eureka" parade and the widely awaited for Disney's California Adventure, as well as
the Warner Bros. hit television show "Nikki". He has worked with Janet Jackson,
Michael Jackson, Paula Abdul, Quincy Jones, Billy Idol, the Los Angeles Clipper Girls, the
Atlanta Hawks dance team, and worked on the 1996 Olympics. There is not a style of dance
Locust can't cover. Though professionally trained by the best in ballet, jazz and modern
dance give him an avenue of expression that allows him to fuse his signature of classical
with house funk and hip-hop style. Locust brings his movements to life fusing smoothness,
explosive energy and his expertise as a movement stylist. |
ERIC ANDERSON - Huntington Beach, CA
Has coached and choreographed for 17 years at Century High School for the JV and Varsity
cheerleading squads. He is a formally nationally ranked Gymnast and a member of the
Board of Advisors for American Cheerleader Magazine. He is also a certified National
Level Judge and was the gymnastics team coach for the USA vs. China children’s team
competition. He was awarded "Coach of the Year 2000" by California Cheerleaders
and his award winning groups receive top awards in regional and national competitions.
He is also coach and choreographer for Cheer Empire Collegiate All Stars and the Cal State
Long Beach cheerleading squad. He has been as far away as Costa Rica, choreographing
for the University for their National Championships. |
SHANNON MATHER - Placentia, CA
Shannon Mather is Teacher and choreographer at one of the most Prestigous dance studios
in America voted by spirit dance magazine as one of the top 50! She recently
choreographed for "Star Search" and has taught many students which have gone on to
professional dance careers. Her students can be seen dancing in the academy nominated
film "Chicago" touring with Aaron Carter and have also won titles such as Mr. Dance
of America. Shannon has choreographed all over Canada and the United States, and
danced in many different industrial shows for companys such as Crystlar, Royal Bank and Frito
Lay. |

MARCUS ALEXANDER - Los Angeles, CA
Has choreographed half time shows and competition squads throughout Southern California,
including the 1999 Women's World Cup starring Jennifer Lopez and Hanson. He
also cheered competively and danced with world renown fitness champion Madonna Grimes in
Hollywood, California. He is a member of the United Spirit Association Program
Development Staff as well as a Cheer and Jazz Staff Instructor. Just
finished shooting a movie with Rob Schiender called "Hot Chick", coming out in
February 2003. He enjoys teaching hard working students. |
NATALIE STEWART - Claremont, CA
Natalie has over 15 years dance experience and specializes in the area of Jazz dance.
She has danced professionally for the Anaheim Bullfrogs and the Long Beach Ice
Dogs, and has appeared on such television shows as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".
Natalie has also choreographed for many award winning drill and dance teams in Soutern
California. She has been teaching with SSC for the past three years and enjoys working
with the many different teams that come to the clinics. |
SUE GEHRINGER - Los Alamitos, CA
Sue has been involved in the dance/drill team world for over 25 years. She has
directed, choreographed, judged and coached teams all over the United States. She
is a former board member of CADTD where she served two terms as President. She is
also a former judge for SCSBOA, adjudicating both for field and parade competitions.
She was past director for Esperanza High School Dance Team for ten years when they
won numerous National Titles. Early in her dance/drill career she taught for USA for
8 years. Her professional choreography can be seen on television, musical stages and
industrials. Her "way past" performance credits take her all over the United States
and Japan. Her current freelance choreography for Southland teams continues to garner
wins for these groups. Sue was recently named "Dance Educator of the Year" by
the Orange County Performing Arts Center. She lives with her Radio Producer
husband Jeff and their children Jaclyn 8 and Jason 5. |
